Facilities and Maintenance Manager

The Facilities and Maintenance Manager is responsible for the overall maintenance, repair, and upkeep of DeGeest Corporation’s manufacturing facility and industrial equipment. This role leads preventative maintenance efforts, manages troubleshooting and repairs, and works cross-functionally to minimize downtime and support production goals. The position is hands-on and combines technical expertise with leadership, organization, and process improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute preventative maintenance programs for facility equipment and systems

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair industrial equipment to minimize downtime

  • Oversee facility upkeep including utilities, HVAC, compressed air, cranes, and general building maintenance

  • Lead and support maintenance team members while collaborating with engineering, production, and operations

  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, SOPs, and ERP system data

  • Support equipment installation, upgrades, and automation integration

  • Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with company standards

Education and Experience

  • Post-secondary degree or technical certification in engineering, industrial equipment, electronics, or a related field preferred

  • 2–5+ years of experience in facilities or maintenance within a manufacturing environment

  • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude with industrial equipment

  • Experience with preventative maintenance planning and documentation preferred

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, bend, climb, and perform hands-on maintenance work

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds

  • Work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, machinery, and varying temperatures

Location: Tea, SD (right off I-29)
Work Hours: 7:00 am-4:30pm Monday – Friday

Pay:
Hiring Salary Range: Depending on Experience

Note: The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. This position is eligible for a bonus.
